GRANT FUNDS TO IMPACT MORE THAN 300 MILITARY SERVICE MEMBERS, VETERANS AND THEIR FAMILIES IN CRISIS

Alexandria, VA – Code of Support Foundation™ (COSF) has been awarded a $75,000 grant by The Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Foundation to support COSF’s case coordination program. The grant was awarded through the Weinberg Foundation’s veteran’s portfolio which supports organizations and programs committed to ensuring military members and their families effectively reintegrate into their communities. Grants made within this portfolio emphasize programs focused on workforce development, physical and mental health, and the elimination of barriers to a variety of services.

“Code of Support Foundation is thrilled to have received this generous grant from The Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Foundation. These funds will allow Code of Support’s veteran peer navigators to continue to provide and leverage essential services to more than 300 Pre and Post 9/11 troops, veterans and their families in crisis,” says Kristina Kaufmann, Executive Director Code of Support Foundation. “We are honored by the Weinberg Foundation’s confidence in the work Code of Support is doing to ensure struggling troops, veteran and their families do not fall through the cracks.”

COSF’s team of veteran and caregiver peer navigators assist service members, veterans and their families by helping them find and access the support and opportunities they need and have earned through their service and sacrifice. The peer navigators work one-on-one with service-members, veterans and their families to listen, assess and help obtain the services they require by leveraging public and private resources to successfully reintegrate back into our communities. COSF serves all generations of veterans and family members, regardless of era or discharge status.
