PARTNERSHIP PROVIDES NACVSO FREE PREMIUM ACCESS TO SEARCHABLE DATABASE LISTING THOUSANDS OF VETERAN SERVICE PROGRAMS

CLEVELAND (June 6, 2019) – A powerful new tool designed to help veterans, military service members and their families and caregivers will be made available to local county employees who are trained and certified to provide them with guidance and case management services.

The National Association of County Veterans Service Officers (NACVSO) and the Code of Support Foundation (COSF) announced a partnership enabling 2,000 NACVSO members free premium access to COSF’s pioneering PATRIOTlink® tool — a unique cloud-based resource navigation platform that makes it easier to identify vetted and verified opportunities and resources that are available from thousands of community-based, state and federal offices.

Kristina Kaufmann, COSF’s co-founder and CEO, and Herm Breuer, president of NACVSO, launched the partnership at NACVSO’s Annual Training Conference here.

“With the widening array of resources needed by and available to our nation’s veterans — and with every veteran’s situation different — finding, contacting and coordinating with the right public and private-sector assets and providers can be challenging and time consuming,” Kaufmann said. “PATRIOTlink helps eliminate barriers and to locate the best possible support for every veteran and their family. We are thrilled to offer our premium service to NACVSO members who are on the front lines of providing that assistance.”

Millions of veterans rely on county veteran service officers to help them with benefits, caregiver support, education, employment, homelessness, housing, transportation and more. PATRIOTlink brings 20 areas of support into a single easy-to-use database.

“NACVSO is excited to put this tool in our members’ offices to help more effectively and efficiently provide veterans and families with the best service possible,” Breuer said.

PATRIOTlink is populated with 6,000 vetted and verified programs, representing more than 12,000 services. That number will continue to increase as county veteran service officers recommend additional local resources for the platform. Programs must meet strict criteria, including a requirement that they provide direct, cost-free services to veterans. Users can target searches by criteria such as type of assistance and eligibility criteria, enabling them to rapidly identify the best source of assistance for an individual client.

The new partnership provides NACVSO members free access in 2019 to COSF’s premium level for unlimited searches and access to advanced data analytic features. Premium users also have access to a personalized dashboard, enabling them to identify trends in service needs in their communities. They can also provide feedback to enable user-driven improvements to platform’s offerings. Anyone, including veterans and their family members, can perform a limited number of free searches on PATRIOTlink.
