I was in a month-to-month apartment rental but when my fiancé lost his job due to COVID-19, we missed one month’s rent and got 24hr notice to move out. Even though I contacted an attorney at the VA, they told me that I had no tenant’s rights without a signed lease. Without a car, all of our belongings were put on the sidewalk . . . some have been stolen. I had nowhere to go. I couldn’t find help even though there is supposed to be COVID-19 relief. Code of Support found us a hotel and provided financial assistance to help us get through this crisis.
Full-time student, Army veteran

This year started off extremely rough for my family because the job market in my chosen career field quickly became dismal during the COVID-19 pandemic. I reached out to my old military colleagues and they told me about the Code of Support Foundation. The support from the COSF case manager has meant everything to my wife and me in this difficult time – she was with us every step of the way, encouraging us and ensuring we got the help we needed. We want to thank you all from the bottom of our hearts.

Air Force, Veteran
My husband, a disabled Army veteran, has pneumonia and a blood clot in his lung; but because he did not test positive for COVID-19, the hospital sent us home. I have no money for medicine, sanitizer, or masks, and I am afraid to leave the house to even buy groceries for fear of infecting him. I contacted Code of Support for help and they opened a case right away. Now I have someone to turn to – thank you!
Army, Veteran Care Giver

Code of Support Foundation gave me what I had lost, HOPE. I now have a home, continue working, and can proudly spend time with my children. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Army, Veteran and father of two
As a veteran who has several personal and family struggles, Code of Support has been a blessing to us. They have contributed to me and my family with mental health support, caregiver support, scholarship resources and financial assistance. Words can’t express how we feel, but we are truly grateful.
Marine Corps, Veteran
