Summary

Founded in 2011, Code of Support Foundation (COSF) is a national 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides essential and critical one-on-one assistance to those struggling service members, veterans and their families who have the most complex needs. In June 2018 COSF launched PATRIOTlink, a cloud-based resource navigation platform that houses thousands of programs tailored to the military community. This tool empowers service members, veterans, their families (SMVF), and service providers to easily navigate and leverage the resources they need. 

Under general supervision of the Product Owner of PATRIOTlink, this position will work with the PATRIOTlink service tool by populating the database, conducting outreach to organizations in order to gather information about their services, and updating this information as necessary. This position supports PATRIOTlink’s goal, which is to provide an online searchable database of resources and services to SMVF populations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Continually review information to ensure that all information that is input into the database is correct. This includes outreach to organizations by email and phone, while effectively keeping track of all outreach conducted in order to ensure it is being done in a timely manner.

  • Analyze data in order to determine individual eligibility of organizations based on whether or not they fit the predetermined standards of the PATRIOTlink service tool.

  • Continually maintain the service tool by updating organizational profiles and making necessary edits as needed.

  • Gather and collect organizational information on a variety of agencies that assist the SMVF populations and manually input this data into the PATRIOTlink service tool.

  • Request local resources from organizations vetted

  • Apprise appropriate leadership of valuable contacts made throughout the vetting process that may lead to partnerships and/or collaboratives.

  • Contribute to the success of the department by actively participating in the sharing of ideas and suggestions for improved processes.

Education and or Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university

  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft office and Gmail work applications

  • Strong written and verbal communications skills

  • Strong Research skills

  • Ability to work independently

  • Hardworking individual who can be held accountable

  • Familiarity with veterans and military family issues strongly desirable

The PS is regularly required to talk or hear, frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms and may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
