Drive the high quality and effective strategic execution of a Software as a Service Product (PATRIOTlink) through its entire lifecycle, with a focus on product delivery and profitability.

We’re looking to fill the position of Product Owner with someone who has a strong strategic planning acumen and is willing to be the gatekeeper of the product backlog. Our ideal candidate can drive the strategic direction of the product and develop a deep understanding of the target market/industry, build close relationships with key stakeholders, and define the business strategy for the product so that it meets the needs of both our organization and profitability model.

The Product Owner communicates with energy and authority knowing when and how to adjust their communication and management style when relaying direction to a multi-disciplinary team of strategic, creative and technology partners, both internal and external facing.

The candidate will be passionate about the growth and success of the Code of Support’s customers. He or she will have succeeded in delivering technology products/services in a high growth environment where priorities shift fast.

Your day-to-day will vary, but will typically include, managing the product roadmap and backlog, daily stand-ups, external developer communication, account status updates, project huddles, and serving as the go-to knowledge repository when it comes to the product, industry, and ongoing strategy.


  • Maximizing the value that the PATRIOTlink product provides to both customers and the organization.

  • Manage a cross-functional team with a high degree of confidence, independence, and sound judgment.

  • Serve as the primary contact and liaison between the Code of Support Foundation and external developer(s) in all matters.

  • Translate organization’s desires into requirements in the form of User Stories, which include acceptance criteria.

  • Identify, track, and remove impediments to project success, while triaging issues proactively, resolving conflicts, and escalating, as necessary.

  • Ensure the product backlog is healthy through grooming, estimation, and prioritization.

  • Development/manage project timelines and budgets.

  • Be able to articulate the organization’s strategic plans and goals.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in product management or product marketing.

  • 3+ years of experience working with US Federal Government communities and contractors.

  • Experience defining and delivering on a product roadmap.

  • Previous experience managing Software-as-a-Service technology products and managed services.

  • Experience with Agile Software Development Practices, including (but not limited to) Scrum Certifications in Scrum Master / Product Owner.

  • Experience working with internal and external software development teams.

  • Experience with building roadmaps, defining requirements and use cases, defining Product Requirement Documents and Functional Requirement Documents.

  • Working understanding of work breakdown between product inception, UI/UX design, planning, software development, quality assurance, and deployment.

  • Experience engaging internal and external stakeholders as part of the product management lifecycle.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with senior leadership.

  • Experience with nonprofit management.

  • Understanding of the enterprise services space particularly managed services and system integration.

  • Experience with building products and services for partners, resellers, managed services providers, and consulting companies.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to influence others internally and externally.

  • Ability to analyze quantitatively, problem-solve, and scope business requirements.

  • Ability to deliver initiatives from conception through completion.

  • Excellent speaking-listening-writing skills, attention to details, proactive self-starter.

  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize workloads.

  • Ability to develop new ideas and creative solutions to problems and challenges.
