WHAT: On Thursday, February 17, in Grand Prairie, Texas, GEICO and Service King Collision Center gave away a Recycled Rides™ vehicle through the National Auto Body Council’s Recycled Rides program.

WHO: Jimmy was nominated by Code of Support Foundation to receive this refurbished vehicle.

Jimmy and Lisa’s car hadn’t worked properly in years and was a constant financial drain of parts and repairs. It’s over an hour from where they live in rural Texas to the nearest VA medical center and a 30-minute drive to see their closest children and grandchildren.

Jimmy served in the Army, and Lisa is his caregiver. The gift of a new car could not come at a more critical time for Jimmy, Lisa, and their family. Free from worrying about transportation or constant vehicle breakdown, they will make their doctors as needed and visit their family. With the assistance of Code of Support, they are on track for the financial security and independence they earned through their military service to our country.

GEICO donates vehicles to the Recycled Rides™ program, which is designed to help individuals, families, or organizations in need with the gift of transportation.

Code of Support Foundation  was created to remove barriers between military families and the resources and support they need and have earned through their service and sacrifice.  To achieve this goal, we operate PATRIOTlink as the nation’s only fully vetted and verified digital network of no-cost resources for veterans, members of the military, and their caregivers and family members.

Service King Collision Center and its employees volunteered their time and labor to refurbish the vehicle to a like-new condition.
